Registering

Walk through the registration form step by step — pick your tickets, verify your email, and complete your spot. Paid registrations check out through Stripe.

Updated May 26, 2026

Registration takes a few minutes. You will pick your tickets, verify your email address, fill in your details, and — for paid events — check out through Stripe. Here is what each step looks like.

The steps in order

Not every event has every step — the organizer configures what they need. You will only see the steps that apply to your event.

  1. Pick a path (only if the event has more than one group)
  2. Choose your tickets
  3. Verify your email address
  4. Add your details (name, phone, and any extra information)
  5. Answer custom questions (if the organizer has added any)
  6. Agree to any required agreements
  7. Review and submit (or pay)

Picking a path

Some events are divided into groups — for example, General Admission, Sponsor, or Speaker. If yours is, you will see a list of paths before you choose tickets. Pick the one that applies to you.

Once you have chosen a path, you will see a label in the top-left corner of the form with a Change link next to it. You can tap that at any time to go back and pick a different path. The tickets you have already added to your order are preserved when you switch.

Choosing tickets

Each ticket type shows a name, a description, and a price. Use the + / − buttons to set how many you want. You can add up to 20 of any single ticket type.

Some tickets are tiered — for example, an Early Bird price and a Standard price. When a ticket is tiered, you will see chips for each tier below the ticket name. Select a tier first, then adjust your quantity. You cannot advance to the next step until you have picked a tier.

If you are registering a paid ticket, an order summary panel appears on the right side of the screen (or below the form on smaller screens) showing a running total. It updates as you change quantities.

Verifying your email

Enter your email address and tap Send verification code. A 6-digit code will arrive in your inbox within a few seconds.

Type the code into the verification field and tap Verify & continue. If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder. The Resend code button becomes available 60 seconds after the first send.

Adding your details

Fill in your first name, last name, and optionally your phone number. If you enter a phone number, a short verification code will be sent to that number during this step to confirm it.

The organizer may also show a marketing consent checkbox or SMS consent checkboxes. These are opt-in — leaving them unchecked does not affect your registration.

If you registered more than one ticket, you will see a card for each attendee. The first card is yours — the others let you enter each person's details now, or send them an email with a link so they can fill in their own information later.

Custom questions and agreements

The organizer may ask additional questions — things like dietary preferences, accessibility needs, or session choices. Questions can be short-answer text, a dropdown, checkboxes, or other formats. Required questions are marked and must be answered before you can move to the next step.

After the questions, you may be asked to read and accept one or more agreements — for example, a privacy policy or data-sharing statement. Required agreements must be checked to proceed.

Free vs. paid checkout

On the final review screen, you can see a summary of everything you have entered. If the event requires an access code, enter it here. If the event has paid tickets and the organizer accepts discount codes, you can enter one here too — your email address must be filled in before the discount code can be validated.

For free events, tap Complete registration. For paid events, tap Continue to payment and you will be taken to a Stripe-hosted payment page to enter your card details.

Paid events use Stripe for payment processing. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's page and never reach the organizer or the registration platform.

What happens after you register

For most events, registration is instant. You will be taken to your attendee portal where you can see your ticket, event details, and any information the organizer has shared.

Some events require the organizer to approve registrations, or have a waitlist when spots run out. If that applies to your event, you will see a confirmation page saying your registration is awaiting approval or that you have been added to the waitlist. The organizer will contact you if a spot opens up.

Once approved and confirmed, your ticket and event details will be available in your attendee portal any time you sign in.
