Confirmation emails
Mercleo Events sends a confirmation email automatically on registration. The template is fixed — the only thing you control is the logo.
Updated May 26, 2026
Mercleo Events sends a confirmation email to the attendee as soon as their registration is processed. You do not need to trigger it — it goes out automatically for every completed registration.
The email template is fully hardcoded. The subject line, body copy, layout, and footer are fixed. The only operator-configurable element is the email logo — set per event.
There is no per-event subject or body editor. If you need custom messaging, include it in a post-registration email sent outside Mercleo Events.
What the attendee receives
The subject line reflects the registration status:
- Confirmed:
You're in — [Event name] - Pending or pending approval:
Registration received — [Event name] - Waitlisted:
You're on the waitlist — [Event name]
The body of a confirmed-registration email includes:
- Your organization logo (resolved through the fallback chain described below)
- Event title, date, and venue — or the virtual join link for online events
- One ticket stub per ticket, each showing: ticket type name, ticket code, QR code, and price paid
- A View registration button (always present)
- An Add to calendar button — only when the event has a start date set
The Add to calendar button is a link, not an attached .ics file. Attendees click through to add the event to their calendar app. There is no calendar file attached to the email.
The email logo
You can set a per-event email logo from the Emails tab in the event settings. Upload a dark-on-light version — confirmation emails use a white background. Square or landscape formats both work.
If you leave the email logo blank, the template resolves a logo through this fallback chain, in order:
- Per-event email logo (your upload)
- Event microsite logos — dark variant, then white variant, then default
- Organization logo
- Mercleo wordmark
Status-specific copy
The email copy and contents differ by registration status.
Confirmed
The attendee receives the full email: ticket stubs with QR codes, the View registration button, and the Add to calendar button (when the event has a start date).
Pending / pending approval
Ticket stubs and QR codes are omitted. The email tells the attendee their registration is received and that a follow-up will arrive once it is confirmed or approved. The View registration button is still included.
Waitlisted
Ticket stubs and QR codes are omitted. The Add to calendar button is also omitted. The attendee is told their place in line is held and they will be emailed when a spot opens.
What you cannot customize
The following are fixed and cannot be changed per event or per workspace:
- Subject line
- Body copy and greeting
- Email layout and ticket stub design
- Footer and Mercleo branding
- Reply-to address
There is no refund policy excerpt in the email, and no marketing copy. The email is transactional only.
